Downtown Fremont Inc. will be hosting the last of the season Fremont Federal Credit Union Car Show on Friday, September 9th, 2022, from 5-8pm.  The Croghan Colonial Bank Farmers Market & the Sandusky County Park District Street Play Saturday Event will be on Front Street on Saturday, September 17th, 2022, from 9am to 1pm along with the Front Street Live Cornhole Tournament sponsored by Dave Slater – State Farm.  Attendance to the car show and market will be free to the public.

Check-in for the Car Show contestants will be on the day of the event in Lot A (Brady Parking Lot) and judging will occur at 7:30 p.m. with trophies awarded shortly thereafter. Dash plaques and goodie bags will be given to the first 150 participants to pre-register and there will also be a 50/50 raffle.

Special feature of the Car Show is the Delorean, Time Machine from Back to the Future which will be located in Lot A (Brady Parking Lot).  This is a great opportunity for all ages to get up close in person with the Delorean and different photo ops: Marty’s Hat, Hoverboard, Doc Remote Controller, Pepsi Perfect, Marty’s Camcorder,  Misc movie flyers like Save The Clock Tower and USA TODAY from 2015.

To go along with the car show, the original Back to the Future film can be viewed at The Strand Theater & Backstage Lounge at 3pm and 5:30pm.  Cost is $2 to just view the movie or is complimentary (no charge) with the purchase of a food or drink.

The Street Play Saturday Event will feature free and inclusive activities promoting health, recreation and fitness throughout the market from kids fingerprinting, bike safety, nutrition game and much more!  Some of the interactive activities are an obstacle course, yoga, cardio drumming and MORE!

Street Play Saturday Event passports can be picked up at the Downtown Fremont Inc. tent at the Front and Garrison Street intersection.  Make sure to visit each activity on the passport at its spot to earn a stamp to complete the passport.  When the passport is completed, participants can return to the Downtown Fremont Inc. tent to be entered into a drawing to win a $100 Think Fremont Community Card.

The Front Street Live Cornhole Tournament will be holding the final tournament of the year including a PRO and Social Tournament.  Registration and payment can be completed at www.frontstreetlivecornhole.com or the day of the event starting at 9am for the 2 person teams.  The tournament begins at 10am.  Payout structure for the PRO with double elimination tournament: 1st- $3,500, 2nd- $1,200, 3rd- $250, 4th- $225, 5th- $200, 6th- $175, 7th- $150, 8th- $125, 9th- $100 and 10th- $75.  Payouts for the SOCIAL tournament:  1st- 50% of the total SOCIAL entry fees, 2nd- 25% of the total SOCIAL entry fees and 3rd- 10% of the total SOCIAL entry fees.  Each bracket will be run on the Scoreholio platform under a King of the Hill style double elimination tournament. If you plan on playing in the PRO tournament, you may not participate in the social tournament.

Lot A (Brady Parking Lot) will be closed Thursday, September 8th from midnight until Friday, September 9th at 9pm.  Front Street will also be closed Friday from 2pm until 9pm from Croghan Street to Hayes Avenue for the Car Show.  Front Street is closed from Croghan Street to Ewing Street and Garrison Street from Arch to Bidwell Saturday, September 17th, from 6am to 2pm for the Farmers Market & Street Play Saturday Event.  Lot A (Brady Parking Lot) will be closed on Friday, September 16th from midnight until 2pm for Front Street Live Cornhole Tournament.
