Business Owners Participate in BootCamp
Fremont,
OH—Many
business owners struggle with marketing simply because they don’t know
how to put together a strong strategic marketing plan that builds and
sustains their business. That’s no longer the case for seven
representatives of Downtown Fremont.
Six area business owners and the
Executive Director of Downtown Fremont traveled to Longmont, Colorado
to participate in retail guru Jon Schallert’s boot camp, “Community
Reinvention Program” to sharpen up their business growth and marketing
skills.
Their participation is part of a
Community Reinvention Scholarship developed by The Croghan Colonial Bank
and Downtown Fremont, Inc.
The scholarship provided the funds to send the
business owners to a 20 hour workshop in Longmont from
March 16 – 18.
For six
months following the BootCamp, the business owners will receive ongoing
consulting that will reinforce the strategies and tactics taught at the
BootCamp. “Our community will receive over $16,000 of no-cost consulting
services, plus our business owners will learn what it takes to grow
their businesses in today's economy,” said Fremont Mayor Terry Overmyer.
“Thank you to Croghan Colonial
Bank for believing this program is a worthwhile investment in the
economic health and quality of life here in
Fremont and Sandusky
County.
By equipping businesses with the tools they need to become more
successful and increase their sales, they are making a direct economic
impact on the whole community,"
concluded Overmyer.
Jon Schallert has been working
with business owners since 1983 and is dedicated to ensuring the
vitality of small businesses across the country. His
insight is frequently seen in
national publications such as The Wall Street Journal and Entrepreneur
Magazine.
"This economy is not for those that are unwilling
to change, adapt, and learn new strategies to succeed. What we’re
experiencing is like an underground tremor that’s causing businesses of
all sizes to undertake a business reinvention process." Schallert said.
“If you are a business owner waiting for this economy to turn
around: Don't wait!"
Schallert emphasized. "Get busy, take action, and
adopt a different business growth strategy to grow your business."
Area business owners can learn
more about different business growth strategies when Jon Schallert
visits Fremont in May to
present "Increasing Sales & Profits as a Destination Business." The
seminar is sponsored by Croghan Colonial Bank and Downtown Fremont as a
part of the Downtown Reinvention Project.
The event will be held at
7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m., May 18 at the Paramount Theater
in Downtown Fremont. Tickets are $50 and are available by calling the
Downtown Fremont office at
419-332-8696.
